Dubai Maritime City Area Guide

Dubai Maritime City is an area merely dedicated to the maritime industry in the UAE. This project comes with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a multipurpose zone that spans around 2.27 million square meters. This area is majorly for business and services and commercial spaces. The Maritime community is divided into different zones: Maritime Centre, The Academic Quarter, Harbour Offices, Marina District, and Harbour Residences. 

This community is surrounded completely by the Arabian Gulf, allowing quick access to sea, airports, and even public transport. The project is tucked strategically between Port Rashid and Dubai Drydocks World. It provides a very conclusive experience for all, as it covers industry, infrastructure, and regulations. 

This project was launched in 2004 but the construction continued after Covid in 2012. Dubai offers an array of properties, both for sale and for rent. Some include residential while some include commercial. This community is being developed to create a cluster for like-minded companies. The large and diversified six sectors here include maritime services, maritime management, product marketing, maritime research and education, leisure, ship design, and manufacturing.

When talking about landmarks and places to visit around the community, you are bound to catch up with some good locations. One of the closest and most popular addresses in Al Fahidi Historic District is Bur Dubai. If you're a history lover, you will adore spending your time at this historic museum that showcases the culture of the Middle East. It also provides amazing insights into UAE history, and culture, with artifacts and more. 

With that, you are also a short drive away from the Dubai Frame and Museum of the future. One of the most interesting, very popular landmarks of the city. You can also visit the Textile Market (or Textile Souk) which showcases traditional Arabic clothing items. Another interesting landmark close to the Dubai Maritime City community in Dubai is Etihad Museum. It takes tourists on a trip to the events that took place in 1968 and 1974. You will spend your time learning about the culture, and knowledge of the founding fathers of the UAE.

Traveling by Car

From Maritime city, it is merely a matter of 18 minutes to reach Dubai Mall by car. While talking about Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab it takes around 29 minutes. If you love strolling around, and enjoying the fresh air with your beloved ones, The Walk JBR is just 30 minutes drive. While for those who’re frequent international travelers, DXB is just 20 minutes away. And, even the newest Al Maktoum Airport is a matter 54 minutes drive. 

Transport Option

Residents and workers, who are frequently visiting the community can choose a private mode of transport to move around the area! With that, water transportation will also be made available in order to assist maritime services, and trade too. Workshops, as well as retail areas in the community, have dedicated parking spaces. If you are staying or working in DMC, only then it seems to be an ideal location for you to commute and live!

Road Connectivity

Dubai Maritime City covers a proportionately large area, with convenient access to any location by car. It is easily connected to the mainlands of the city via Sheikh Rashid Road. This industrial area is entirely dedicated to maritime services, which include ship lips, workshops, showrooms, and even retail areas. You won’t find a lot of residential buildings here, but there are plans to add up some more. Damac properties have come across the plan of adding some prestigious developments in the community. There’s a prestigious development, Anwa by Omniyat which has gained huge attention. Homes here will be waterfront development, each designed beautifully to give you breathtaking views. 

This community in Dubai does not have any plans for building a school or hospital for now. If you want to consider schooling or other educational options, you can take a quick drive to reach the desired address. 

The neighboring community has lots of educational institutions, nurseries, schools, and colleges that your kids can go to. In the Bur Dubai vicinity, you will find many schools that can be accessed within a short minute’s drive. Make sure you choose the one that has a decent rating and is remarked as one of the best, for your kids.

The community has a couple of nearby amenities, ideally for workers and residents to have quality time. One of the best parts is the JM Masjid mosque, which is very close to anyone living or working in the community. From the paddle tennis court to the theatre, concert pavilion and so much more, there's a fascinating sight of the emirates to capture!

Malls around Dubai Maritime City

Living or working in Dubai Maritime City keeps you closer to some of the best malls around. There are many shopping avenues in Dubai and you can access them anytime you want! Reaching Burjuman Centre is merely a 14 minutes’ drive from the community. 

You can access a wide range of branded outlets, which includes Mont Blanc, MAC, and even Beverly Hills Polo Club. So, if you want to roam around or do shopping, dining, or entertainment, you can visit these malls.

Supermarkets & Mini Marts

If you want to visit hypermarkets and supermarkets, you can definitely visit the nearby neighbourhood for it. Dubai has a lot of hypermarkets and grocery stores, in every corner! Even late night cravings can be addressed well, and all your grocery desires too. Within the community, you will not find many hypermarkets since it is a commercial space. You may come across a few small groceries that can help you buy anything you want. One can find a few supermarkets on the road that connects to the community.

Dubai Maritime City does not have any specific clinics or hospitals. However, you can take just a short drive to reach to the closest hospitals! There are many advances and general healthcare spots within the city. You can make a visit by booking an appointment first. Be it any health condition, eye care, paediatrician, dentist, orthopaedic, and so on. There are many hospitals in Dubai that you can visit in order to seek proper help.

The DMCA aims to promote business and trade since it is built very close to Rashid Port. It is a free zone space in Dubai, dedicated majorly for navigation, shipping, and other services. The investment options in Dubai are versatile, it all depends upon your desires. Living here, you can go to the beach, or for shopping, in no time, since everything is just in the center! 

Even though you don’t find malls, shopping spots, clinics, and schools within the community, you will never face any problems. The neighborhood boasts some decent schooling, healthcare, and supermarket options that you can visit anytime you want.
